Yes, crude, but it works for me 95% of the time. I'm pretty stubborn and I didn't find a thread that answered this question of our's so I went to plan B. VB is not my friend (I'm still fighting with Excel) so I search the web and if that fails I experiment. I was looking for the same thing when I ran across this thread. Just the letter, no alt or anything extra. Is there a way to avoid having to use the mouse to access this list so that I can use 1) Ctrl+V to paste, then 2) a shortcut to open the dropdown, then ^3) Alt+whatever to select the option I want? In Word 2010 display the File tab of the ribbon and then click Options. (In Word 2007 click the Office button and then click Word Options. The various options in the drop down list presented by this button have hotkeys (Alt + underlined letter) associated with them. If you want to have a special shortcut key for a particular AutoText entry, you can follow these steps: Define your AutoText entry as you normally would. Is there a keyboard shortcut to activate the paste options button that appears after a manual paste into a worksheet.
